Mendip, known for its thrilling adventure campsite, is a popular destination for families seeking outdoor excitement. To elevate the visitor experience and offer something extra for younger visitors, Mendip approached Fluff Software after noticing our Huntly app banner at a local event. They were eager to integrate a custom version of Huntly into their offerings, providing an engaging activity for children while also supporting a charitable cause.
Mendip Adventure Campsite offers a wide array of activities, from zip-lining to rock climbing, catering to families and adventure seekers alike. However, they identified a gap in their offerings for younger children who might not be able to participate in the more intense activities. Mendip needed a solution that would keep these younger visitors entertained and engaged throughout their stay, ensuring that all family members could have a fulfilling experience.
Additionally, Mendip was keen to leverage this new offering to support their fundraising efforts. The challenge was to create an engaging activity that not only entertained visitors but also encouraged donations to their associated charity, making the experience meaningful for both the visitors and the organisation.
After discussing Mendip’s needs, we tailored a bespoke Huntly quest specifically for their adventure campsite. The quest was designed to take children on a trail around the site, encouraging them to explore different areas and discover hidden treasures along the way. Each stop on the trail was carefully selected to showcase the best of Mendip's natural beauty and outdoor activities, while also being suitable and safe for younger children.
To integrate their fundraising initiative, we made the Huntly quest available to visitors who made a donation to Mendip’s charity. Upon making a donation, families received a unique code that unlocked the quest in the Huntly app. This approach not only added value to the visitor experience but also provided a steady stream of contributions to support the charity’s goals.
The custom Huntly quest was an instant hit with families visiting Mendip. Parents appreciated having an engaging, tech-driven activity for their children that complemented the more adventurous offerings of the campsite.
