Fluff Software Through the Years: Our Awards and Recognition

We’re a small team from Swindon, making its mark and proudly earning recognition since 2022.

Starting Fluff Software brought us more than projects and clients. Along the way, it also brought opportunities to have our work recognised.

Winning awards has never really been the goal for us. The focus has always been on doing good work with our clients and building software and tools that people find genuinely useful and enjoyable.

But recognition is still something worth celebrating. Looking back at the awards and nominations we’ve received gives us a chance to see how far we’ve come, how much we’ve grown, and most importantly, recognise the hard work the whole team has put in along the way.

So, here’s a look back at Fluff Software’s journey through the years — and some of the proud moments we’ve picked up along the way.

Scott takes home Male Entrepreneur of the Year 2026 Award

This recognition from the South West Business & Community Awards celebrated the leadership and resilience Scott has shown during a particularly challenging period for Fluff. Faced with difficult decisions, he stayed focused on moving the business forward while continuing to put the team, clients and long-term health of the company first.

Rather than pursuing growth at any cost, Scott has always taken a thoughtful and sustainable approach to running Fluff. The award recognised that determination, people-first leadership and commitment to building a business with purpose.

Alongside Scott’s Male Entrepreneur of the Year win, Fluff Software was also shortlisted in four other categories at the South West Business & Community Awards 2026:

🏅 Business Leader of the Year

🏅 Innovator of the Year

🏅 Business of the Year

🏅 SME of the Year

Being recognised across categories covering leadership, innovation and the business as a whole made this an especially proud moment for the team, and a brilliant way to see how far our work has come.

Honoured to Be a Finalist for C2S Business Awards’ Leader of the Year 2026

In the same year as the South West Business & Community Awards, Scott was also named a finalist for Leader of the Year at the C2S Business Awards 2026.

It was our first time entering the C2S Business Awards, which made it even more exciting to see Fluff shortlisted across four additional categories:

🏅 Micro Business of the Year

🏅 Team of the Year

🏅 Cyber & IT Business of the Year

🏅 Community Award

Beyond the recognition itself, the awards also introduced us to a new community of businesses and leaders doing brilliant work. Being surrounded by people who care about building good businesses and making a positive impact was an inspiration in itself — and made the whole experience even more worthwhile.

Back-to-Back Wins for Innovation and Using Tech to Transform Business

In 2024, the Fluff Software team was recognised with the Innovation Award for our work on Huntly, a free scavenger hunt app designed to encourage families and children to get outdoors, explore and be more active.

Since its launch, Huntly has also worked with visitor attractions and local organisations to create new ways for families to explore, including partnerships with Farmer Palmers, Southampton City Park, and events run by Swindon Borough Council. Huntly remains free for families to use, and we continue to welcome partnerships with visitor attractions and schools.

Alongside the Innovation Award, we also took home the Using Tech to Transform Business Award for our work with SGMF. The project involved transforming their spreadsheet-based process into a purpose-built software application that automates complex calculations and reduces the need for manual work.

Scott was also named a finalist for Leader of the Year, adding another recognition for Fluff that year.

Altogether, it was a brilliant year for the team, with recognition for our innovation, the impact of our client work, and the leadership behind Fluff.

Where Our Awards Journey Started: The Techies

Even in Fluff Software’s early years, our work was already gaining recognition within the South West tech community. In 2022, just three years into our journey, we were named a finalist for the Best Tech Start Up Award at The Techies.

The recognition continued the following year. In 2023, Scott received the Outstanding Contribution to Swindon & Wiltshire Tech Award for his work organising Swindon Software, a local meetup that brings together developers and people from the wider tech community.

That same year, Huntly was also named a finalist for the Best User Experience Award, recognising the thought and care that went into creating an enjoyable experience for families using the app.

These early recognitions were an encouraging sign for a growing team, celebrating not only the software we were building, but also our contribution to the local tech community around us.
